The Ayushmann Khurrana, Rajkummar Rao and Kriti Sanon starrer Bareilly Ki Barfi opened to a good response from the crowd at the Indian box office. Following an average first-day collection of 2.42 crores, the movie witnessed a bit of growth on its first Saturday. Despite the average Day 1 collection, the movie showed an upward trend in collections earning 3.85 crores on its Day 2 (1st Saturday) taking its two days total to 6.27 crores.
Bareilly Ki Barfi Day Wise Box Office Collection
- Day 1: 2.42 crores
- Day 2: 3.85 crores
Total: 6.27 crores
The movie is made on a budget of 20 crores only. Thus, the film has to earn at least 28 crores at the Indian box office to gain the hit tag. For achieving such numbers, it has to show a substantial growth today and continue its run with decent weekday collections. The good sign for the film is that it is carrying good word of mouth from the audience which can help it to register a 5 crore day on its first Sunday.
Bareilly Ki Barfi is facing tough competition from Akshay Kumar starrer Toilet: Ek Prem Katha and Anabelle: Creation. As a matter of fact, it collected half of what Anabella: Creation collected on its first day at the Indian box office raising a lot of concerns regarding the movie’s fate. Bareilly Ki Barfi has to hold on well in the upcoming days to get the hit tag. As per certain reports, the audience is loving the quirkiness of the film. However, its performance, in the long run, is going to decide if it will be a successful film or Bollywood will suffer another failure.
