LATEST: Johnny Depp To Feature In King Of The Jungle


Johnny Depp is famous worldwide for two reasons: Acting and Versatility. His upcoming movie line-up justifies the versatility tag. According to reports, the 53-year-old actor, Johnny Depp is going to play a lead role in the film, ‘King of the Jungle.’ He is going to portray the character of McAfee’s antivirus creator, John McAfee in the movie.

The film will revolve around the real story of John McAfee. The movie will have a magazine investigator who “accepts what he thinks is a run-of-the-mill assignment to interview McAfee, but once he arrives in Belize, he finds himself pulled into McAfee’s escalating paranoia, slippery reality, and murder.”

To be more precise, the film is an adaptation of an article posted by Joshua Davis in Condé Nast’s Wired Magazine. The title of the article was ‘John McAfee’s Last Stand.’ The story of the film will be written by Scott Alexander and Larry Karaszewski. It will be produced under the banner of Condé Nast Entertainment, Zaftig Films, Epic Entertainment and MadRiver Pictures.

King of the Jungle will be directed by Glenn Ficarra and John Requa. Also, Johnny Depp’s upcoming movies include ‘Murder on the Orient Express,’ ‘Labyrinth,’ ‘The Libertine,’ ‘Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them 2’ and ‘The Invisible Man.’ Addition of ‘King of the Jungle’ will further enhance his line-up. In fact, his current line-up is the most promising line-up compared to other actors.

As of now, Johnny Depp is gearing up for ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales’ which is going to hit theaters on 26 May 2017 worldwide. He is playing the role of a pirate in this movie. Also, it has been stated that ‘Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales’ is going to be the last film of the ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ franchise.
