Malang, the romance thriller starring Aditya Roy Kapoor and Disha Patani, appears to be a mega-hit on the digital platform. The film found its way on Netflix and is in India’s top 10 most-watched list on the streaming service. The movie was also a success at the box office crossing Rs 50 crores and is one of the biggest hits of this year.
Emboldened by such response, the producer of the film, Ankur Garg has announced a sequel. In a statement to an independent news service, Garg told that the director Mohit Suri and producer Luv Ranjan have started to work on the sequel. He thanked the audience for the tremendous response they have given to the film in theatres and on the digital platform. He said that while people are showing their love to Malang on Netflix, they’re coming up with a sequel.
The news will please the movie’s fans who’ve been enjoying the onscreen chemistry of the lead pair of Disha Patani and Aditya Roy Kapoor. In addition to them, the film also stars the veteran actor Anil Kapoor and Kunal Khemmu in crucial roles.
Impressed by their sizzling chemistry, director Mohit Suri has decided to cast Aditya and Disha in the sequel of Ek Villain as well. Ek Villain 2 will have Aditya and John Abraham as its two male leads. The roles are going to be action-packed, which will lend to twists and turns into the plot. There will also be two female leads opposite each hero. Disha has been cast opposite Aditya.
