Sonam Kapoor Keen to Start Work on her Bollywood Remake of Korean Film ‘Blind’


After a long break from the screen and indulging herself in things that make her the happiest during the lockdown, actress Sonam Kapoor admits that she is all geared up to go back on the sets. 

The actress shared some candid moments of life under lockdown, movies, and other things when she sat down for a live chat with a magazine.

She shared about her passion for crafts, her love for the camera and also mentioned that no project was in production when the lockdown was announced and imposed. She is now scheduled to begin on her next film ‘Blind’, a Hindi remake of the Korean movie. This new project of hers is the trending B-town buzz. Reports claim that Shome Makhija will be directing the movie with Sujoy Ghosh as the creative producer.

The actress will be playing the lead role of a visually impaired in the crime thriller revolving around the case of a missing person. The original movie is a 2011 South Korean crime thriller directed by Ahn Sang-Hoon and screenplay by Choi Min-seok. The movie casts start Kim Ha-neul and Yoo Seung-ho. Kim won the Best Actress honours at the 48th Grand Bell Awards and 32nd Blue Dragon Film Awards for the excellent performance.

The movie is on a missing person case of a female university student and a hit-and-run case victim who seem to be related. Detectives are looking for a witness and then come across Min Soo-ah who seemed to be a promising cadet at the police academy, but after a horrific accident, she loses her eyesight and her surrogate brother Dong-hyun and her police career.

Soo-ah reveals that on the night of the hit and run case, she was picked by a cab driver to Detective Jo. She believed that the cab driver could be the culprit of the case. Initially, her claim was not believed by the detective, but after proving her remarkable senses, the detective changed his mind. They then started to work together to find the cab driver, but all their leads seemed to be a fail.

In a personal chapter, the actress revealed that she will be returning to Mumbai after 6 months for her birthday celebration with her family.
